Quartz Countertop Care & Use – Quick English Guide
1. Heat protection
• Always use a trivet or heat pad for hot pans, baking trays, slow-cookers, etc. Direct contact above ±150 °C/300 °F can cause thermal shock and cracks .
2. Cutting & chopping
• Use a cutting board; never slice directly on the surface. Sharp knives will not scratch most quartz, but they can dull your blades and leave metal marks .
3. Cleaning routine
• Daily: mild dish soap + warm water + soft cloth.
• Stubborn stains: non-abrasive gel cleaner (e.g., Soft Scrub) or 1 : 1 water & isopropyl alcohol, then rinse and dry .
4. What NOT to use
• No bleach, oven cleaner, metal scouring pads, or anything with pH < 1 or > 12. These can etch or discolor the resin .
• Avoid prolonged exposure to strong solvents such as acetone, paint thinner, or nail-polish remover—rinse immediately if contact occurs .
5. Impact & weight
• Do not stand, kneel, or hammer on the countertop, especially around cutouts for sinks or cooktops; the resin-rich edges can chip .
6. Moisture & standing water
• Wipe up spills promptly. While quartz is non-porous, dried mineral deposits from hard water can leave dull spots .
7. Outdoor use
• Quartz is intended for indoor kitchens. UV rays will yellow and degrade the resin over time .
Follow these simple rules and your quartz countertop will stay sleek and damage-free for decades.
